What would you like your readers to know about this book or you in general?
It is full of resources and everyone who has read it has gleaned new nuggets of knowledge from it.  Many women have thanked me for sharing unknown alternative health choices, easy ways to be creative, parenting tips, and also for the personal development exercises. It’s a great book to give as a gift too!

What time of day do you write?
I wrote No Ordinary Woman between the hours of 9pm to 2am for a year.  At that time my child was a toddler and I stayed at home with him so writing during the day was out of the question.  But in the dark, late hours of the night, all is quiet and nothing needed my attention accept my keyboard.  Was I tired? Well, yes and no.  It’s hard to describe what was driving me to complete the book.  It just had to be done so it feed me and kept me motivated.

What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
Know yourself on a deeper level and understand all your layers.  This information will help you avoid confusion and frustration, so your work can be authentic.  One of the best ways to do this is by knowing your guiding archetypes.  Are you a Warrior? Detective?  Goddess?  You can find more info at www.KnowYourArchetypes.com  Once you know yours, you’ll be clear on your voice, genre, and writing strengths.  A couple of mine are Liberator and Pioneer, thus, my book’s purpose is to share life-changing information which can liberate someone from outdated thought patterns.  Also my pioneering spirit, one that is a risk-taker and adventurer, looked at writing a book as an adventure…something that hasn’t been done yet.

What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
As The Artist and Mother Archetypes (see question #3) I love to create and raise my child when I’m not writing.  I’m an abstract painter but I also create videos and workshops.  If my hands aren’t art-ing, they are building with Legos or crafting car tracks.

If you had to choose, who would be your author mentor?
As a non-fiction writer, I really enjoy the writing style of Jonathan Fields author of Career Renegade: How to Make a Great Living Doing What You Love and Uncertainty: Turning Fear and Doubt into Fuel for Brilliance.  As a former yoga instructor, his writing style is just as relaxed and thoughtful as the man himself.  Even though he is approachable, he is also very passionate about writing, marketing, and human relations.  His broad knowledge is beneficial for authors, solopreneurs, and anyone who wishes to live a more mindful life.
