Why did you feel you had to tell this story?
At the moment I’m publishing a series of natural health and beauty books that are based around getting noticeable improvement fast by following 7 things to do at one way or step per day over seven days.

This is because so few people are prepared to commit to doing a 30 day or 90 day program, even when it comes to their health.

So my concept for this series is to give readers a new daily action to do over 7 days, and they get to see noticeable improvement in a week.

So for this book “7 Ways in 7 Days to Beautiful Healthy Hair” I looked at the most essential things you need to do to grow and maintain strong hair. They became the daily steps for one week.

Then I include more general health and nutrition information for the reader as a bonus so that they get to use the rest of the strategies in the book for lifetime results.

Where do you get your ideas?
I base most of the series subjects around the health and beauty issues that I have had to deal with in my lifetime that I know other people are also searching for help and answers about.

Being a baby boomer in my mid 50’s means that I have decades of experience on the subjects covered including my teenage experiences, and am also starting to deal with the issues we all have to face as we age.

Do you ever experience writer’s block and how do you overcome it?
No, there is so much to share on these subjects my problem is rather working out what to cut back on so that I can feature the most important 7 – 10 natural ways to improve your health and beauty.

What advice would you give to aspiring writers on the writing and publishing process?
I suggest that you learn from the book writing and publishing courses that are online, and don’t be shy about getting help from professional outsourcers for any of the work that you are not confident about doing.

Don’t let the fact that you don’t know how to do everything yourself hold you back, you can plan to outsource those jobs to professionals and just Do It!

How do you market your work? Have you found some avenues to be more successful than others?

I blog about my books, and I use the social networking power of Twitter, Facebook, G+ and so on.

I also invite people to contact me if they would like review copies of the books so that they can tell their friends about them, as well as give me feedback about how well they rate the content.

I’m also investigating doing some virtual book tours for some of my books soon, as that seems to be a viable service.

If your book was made into a movie, who do you picture playing each part?
Well, these are more how to do it health books rather than novels, but if there was a documentary made about any of the topics, to show the 7 Ways to get improvements in 7 Days, it would need to be someone healthy, mature and fit.

Maybe an actress like Helen Mirren or Kate Blanchett would give us all something to aim for!
