My intentions in writing this book were to help make the game enjoyable, by helping the reader understand how it all works. After reading this book, you will have a greater understanding of the game and how it's played. Additionally, you will become self-sufficient, enabling you to "PRACTICE WITH PURPOSE." Understanding how to recover from adversity is very important, because it keeps you in the game.
Understanding cause and effect, will allow you to cope with irregular situations, which ultimately determines the outcome on your scorecard.
About the Author
Chris was introduced to the game of golf in 1970, at the age of nine, while caddying for his grandfather Howard Pinner, at a par-3 course in Jacksonville, Florida. He played through high school and into his adulthood. In 1995, Chris moved to Houston, Texas, and in 1996, he was employed by Continental Airlines, where he worked his way up to a position of Hub Manager. In 2003, he began taking Real Estate classes eventually acquiring his license in Texas. He accomplished his level (1) Affiliate, level (2) Associate, level (III) Full certification, and then level (IV) Master Teaching certification with the United States Golf Teachers Federation, as well as his Field Examiners certification. Chris is a lifetime member of the PGA Tour Partners Club, and is certified as a PGA Instructor. Additionally, he is a certified teaching professional with the National Registry of Professional Instructors and is a continuous member of the USGA - R & A. Chris was named "Top 100 Teachers in the World" with the World Golf Teachers Federation. He is also a certified club fitter with multiple manufacturers. During his career, he has participated in numerous charities and fundraising events, helping to support special needs organizations, and teaches underprivileged students as well as High School Golf Teams. Chris is the Master Teaching Professional for the American Golf Association as a volunteer, and participates on Golf Talk Radio as a speaker, every Wednesday Night 8:00pm CST.
Lyn, born and raised Gwendolyn Ann Hudson, is a native of Lousiana and the daughter of a Methodist Minister, Rev. Howard L. Hudson. After high school graduation, she attended college at U.S.L., in Lafayette Louisiana, prior to moving to Houston, Texas. In 1996, she acquired a Texas Real Estate License and has remained in the industry ever since. Additionally, she was employed by Continental Airlines, and gave over 14 years of dedicated service. She has two sons Clayton and Lance Lemmons, who are avid golfers as well. Her passion has always been for children, as well as the under-privileged, while continuously contributing to their betterment. Through the years, she has participated in multiple charity fundraising events. Her desire is to someday create a foundation, introducing children to the game of golf, while giving every child the opportunity to enjoy the game, regardless of their social or financial status. Her commitment and drive as well as support for Chris' passion for golf, were key motivators for this book. The combination of talents and desire to help other people is a shared commitment between the couple.
