About the AuthorCharles Ames Fischer is a teacher by day and an author by night. He has taught in both public and private schools in a variety of settings, from rural Maine to inner city Atlanta, and has worked with a wide range of students from 4th to 12th grade. He taught for many years at Sparhawk School in Amesbury, MA and currently teaches at Aspen Academy in Greenwood Village, CO.
He loves spending time outdoors, reading good books, watching hockey games (Boston Bruins!) and contemplating the meaning of life. In his spare time he likes to write, travel the world, and attend unusual professional development workshops.
His first novel, Beyond Infinity, won a 2014 Bronze Medal in the Independent Publisher Book Awards (YA Fiction).
Throughout the year he conducts a variety of fun-filled workshops for students and professional development seminars for educators.
