Easy Guide to Garden Birds of Britain & Ireland, by Marie Louise Heffernan

Easy Guide to Garden Birds of Britain and Ireland

This is the perfect book of garden bird identification for an absolute beginner with large clear photos. It is the ideal guide to have while watching birds at the bird feeder, in local parks or hedgerows. Short clear descriptions of the key identifying features of each bird are given. Twenty two of the most common birds found in gardens in Britain and Ireland are shown. This book has been designed as a quick and simple way to identify birds for both young children and adults. The author wrote the book originally for her daughter as she was unable to find a simple book that clearly identified common garden birds. With a series of fabulous photos showing each bird and the key differences between the birds clearly described and easily seen in the each photograph, this allows the young or not so young bird watching beginner to know their birds. Soon to be released as an eBook.

Kindle Spotlight: The Timeless Allure of Lavender, by Cynthia Austin Tanis

Evocative. Endearing. Enduring.

What is it about this aromatic and evocative little herb that is so endearing and enduring?

Could it be its’ magically intoxicating scent, or its’ deep violet- blue flower wands waving gracefully above soft, blue- green mounds?

Can you imagine the dreamy visions of cool, blue lavender ~fields ~forever, silhouetted against a warm, glowing, coral sunset?

Throughout the ages, The Timeless Allure of Lavender has proven it to be cherished as the most beloved queen of herbs! Rich in its history of cultivation and use, lavender has a simple yet profound relationship with us: past, present and future. I wrote this lovely little book because I was so intrigued with the history, folklore, mystic and the many practical and healing applications of this provocative herb. I wanted to explore for myself all the ways that lavender has become so loved and cherished by so many and why it is by far everyone’s favorite herb. Lavender has amazing healing properties and resonates fondly with our emotional well
being.

Only the beautiful radiant rose comes first in capturing our hearts and Imaginations. This book also picks up where others leave off and touches on the deeper philosophical aspects of our relationship with this plant:

  • How the power of scent moves us
  • The power of Intention and the blessings of Gratitude
  • The therapeutic value of the healing garden

I hope this little book prompts you to explore your own lavender dreams.
