The Cleaning Agency, by Ayn Bootham

The Cleaning Agency, by Ayn Bootham
Life can be messy sometimes.

Just how messy is something Eva Charles finds out when her husband flees the country with all of their money. Men in tight vests start making unannounced visits and the bank threatens to take her house.

She needs a plan. But for nine years she has raised children, scrubbed kitchens and removed stains from upholstery. What does that qualify her for? Starting up her own cleaning agency of course! But with a twist….Eva’s business is a naked cleaning agency with sexy girls offering all kinds of services...

With the help of a moody handyman, an attractive drug dealer and an eccentric neighbor, Eva tries to keep her life from spiraling out of control.

But she has to get her hands dirty, very dirty, to clean up the mess she is in.

About the Author
Ayn Bootham
Ayn Bootham is an American journalist and writer.

Named after the famous American/Russian author Ayn Rand, Ayn for many years avoided having anything to do with writing. Who needs the pressure, right? But she sucked at everything else - from managing a garden centre to attempting to sell cosmetics. She wasn't great at being a wife either.

So she gave up. She now writes. At night mostly, when her 11-year-old son is asleep. Oh, and they live in a loft conversion in New York. She regularly uses the services of a Russian handyman, on whom the character of Goran, in her book, The Cleaning Agency, is very loosely based. Very, very loosely.

Shaherazade’s Daughters, by Sameena K. Mughal

In a world of genies and fairies, extraordinary women from all over the East make extraordinary journeys of the spirit, mind, and heart. In "Shaherazade’s Daughters," different women follow in the footsteps of the legendary heroine of 1001 Arabian Nights. The short story collection by Sameena Mughal pays homage to the classic tales yet adds a modern, feminist twist. The diverse stories comprising "Shaherazade's Daughters" range from the adventurous and comedic to the dark and dramatic. Each offering explores the complex pathways to self-discovery.

About the Author
Sameena Mughal was born in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of immigrants who came to the United States from Uganda in 1972. Sameena is a freelance writer and teacher with a passion for literature and 1001 Arabian Nights especially. As an English and ESL teacher, she designed units where her students either retold these stories or wrote one of their own. After reading her students' stories Sameena decided to write one of her own. That one story led to ten, which led to the creation of Shaherazade's Daughters, her first book.

Ronstedt Village Fables, by Bill Freas

Synopsis
The "Ronstedt Village Fables" are considered to be some of the most timeless and entertaining folk tales ever to come from the pen of an author whose cousin’s nephew’s first grade substitute teacher’s ex-fiancĂ©’s stalker’s pet field emu (1909-1922) inspired these fifty classic narratives. Parents and teachers across all eleven world continents have consistently referred back to these classic children’s stories as a means to instill in their pupils extremely unimportant and useless life lessons that will be carried with them for a lifetime in cat years, or in very stressful moments at most urban bus depots.

About the Author
Bill Freas is a writer and filmmaker based in his native town of Philadelphia, PA. Following a successful tenure as a professional musician, he transitioned back to his love of writing and quickly got involved in the literary, film, and television industries. Currently, he has various original film projects set up with a number of international production companies, as well as several works of fiction published by domestic literary entities.
