Aba and Shamana: The Story of a Legend Begins, by Cynthia L. Floriani

Aba and Shamana
The story is set two thousand years ago in Bethel, a fictitious Middle Eastern village. The tale begins with the arrival of a mysterious stranger to a goat herder’s campsite, who captivates a little girl, Alimud with a story about a giant donkey, Aba and of Shamana, the young girl who raises him.

Aba grows, surprising everyone, into a mammoth donkey whose height exceeds two meters. He is instilled with supernatural strength and intuitive abilities. Shamana too has the gift of a visionary, which through her vivid dreams, is able to interpret the fates and destinies of others.

The advent of a third party tests their friendship and unintentionally becomes the catalyst that tests their unique bond.

Aba experiences great despair at his failure to protect the one he loves, which has tragic consequences. Homeless, he wanders the wilderness alone. Aba must find Shamana for only she can heal him.

While wondering the wilderness, it is through Aba’s strong love for his beloved mistress, Shamana that he is able to endure all that he comes to face, to finally find his way back to his original home.

Shamana’s unstinting devotion to Aba is the powerful antidote which would eventually set him free from his despair.

At last, the tale once again returns to the young Alimud who on receiving a gift from the nomad before he vanishes from the campsite, realises upon opening his gift the true meaning of the nomad’s tale about the golden hearted, gentle giant donkey, Aba.

About the Author
Cynthia L Floriani
Cynthia L Floriani - (1958) - Born in Rome, Italy and immigrated to Australia in 1961. I currently reside in Western Australia. I am a mother of four grown children and grandmother to two beautiful babies. I have a strong desire to be of service to persons less fortunate than myself. In this spirit, I created Survival Backpacks for homeless persons which were distributed by Red Cross Australia's arm in West Australia. The Ebook Aba and Shamana was born to draw attention to the plight of the donkey and its treatment in some areas of the world. I wanted to draw awareness to their mistreatment and do what I can to contribute. Aba the giant donkey was created in the image of a hero and a champion of donkeys in the hope that he would not only entertain young readers and those young at heart but also encourage an interest in the readers to seek out information about them. Three charities are supported in the book, Australia Red Cross, The Donkey Sanctuary, WSPA.

The Ebook featuring Aba the giant donkey, is the first of a series and it will soon be available in paperback, including audio. A specially created tune for Aba and Shamana is currently under creation and will soon feature on my amazon author page and my own website.

I am an avid reader, love family and friends, enjoy cooking, love the arts, love movies and a variety of music, love to study a broad spectrum of different subjects, love the sea. Previously, I have completed the Rottnest Marathon, two half marathons, and twenty or so ten km fun runs in West Australia.

I am a recent recipient of a scholarship through Edinburgh Business School a division of Heriot-Watt University, Scotland to study an MBA.

However, if you find it soothing to laugh at the misfortune, embarrassment, and humiliation of others, and if you chuckle at the thought of unjustified death, then this book might put a smirk on your cheek.
