I love to have girl talk with friends and family and what do ladies usually talk about? Men and food. Oh yeah, the chicks at work that they hate.

Do you ever experience writer's block, and how do you overcome it?
Yes, I experienced it quite a few times. I simply walked away from the project for a while. An hour, a day, a week, however long it took.

What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
I would say to believe in you. Push yourself. Yes you will have people in your corner in most cases, but you must be your own cheerleader. No matter who thinks you can, if you don’t think you can, you won’t.

How do you market your work? Are some avenues more successful than others?
The book has been featured on a few different blogs. I also have a FB page (Simple 9 Books), and I’m on Twitter under https://www.twitter.com/simple9books.

Since your book is a cookbook, if it was made into a movie, what type of movie would it be?
Definitely a chick flick. A comedy about a single girl that’s not so lucky in love, and a married older sister that gives her advice.

Why do you feel you had to write "Lose Up To 14 Pounds In 3 Weeks: The Caribbean Woman's Diet"?
I decided to write this book as a dedication to my mother who passed away 6 years ago. It tells how trough love and integrating homepathic treatments with what I call DNA eating she was able to lose weight ,change her body and heal.

From where do you get your ideas?
My ideas come from my personal experiences with peers, family and friends and an overall interest in people and feeling that unconditional love is ultimately the answer.

Do you ever experience writer's block, and how do you overcome it?
Yes, I do experience the block. When I do I walk away to focus on other projects. The inspiration returns when I meditate on the subject and become awake at roughly sometimes between three and four in the mornings then it just flows.

What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
Keep your ideas in your head and also on paper when you get them. See stories in everything you hear, encounter and or even imagine. There is always someone who will be interested. If someone or many from various backgrounds keep saying you should write it is a sign that perhaps you should.

How do you market your work?
Well I am a newbie so I have engaged social media and word of mouth.

Are some avenues more successful than others?
I am not sure yet I believe that it is important to get the word out especially with so many awesome writers these days.

If your book was made into a movie, who would play each role?
I am not sure, I have not given that much thought.
